Geographically, this is an area from which Iranians migrated from. There are many characteristics of the clothing construction that were carried through Persian clothing up through modern times. For example, the under arms are open--a characteristic of Iranian garments. Also, we can see the origins of the characteristic "rectangle" construction of 16th century Persian garments in the shirt.
